It is Sunday morning and Dickerson has mated with one of our females. He is a bit shy, and does not advance towards the female until we leave the room. This is something we've noticed with quite a few panthers. They don't show any interest in the female at first. Some even become quite aggressive. We found out that the aggressiveness was attributed to our hand, which was holding the female, and not the female.
Here he is posing for the camera.
First mating of the day.
Here they are for the second time, but in a more secluded spot at the bottom of his cage.

Dickerson was captive hatched. When we bought him as a juvenile we thought that he was a blue bar ambanja. As time went by he kept turning more blue. Dickerson has turned out to be a gorgeous blue nose be.
