The Mike X Chrissy clutch from Sept. 03 has started to hatch.  These guys come from a proven line of Blue Bar Ambilobes.  Chrissy and her sister Janet, were hand picked from a captive hatched clutch of Blue Bar Ambilobes.  We were lucky enough to get to see their brothers colored up.  Its nice when you get to take the guess work out of your breeding projects.

This is the first entry for Mike and Bertha.  However, we have been working with this pair for about a year now.  Bertha has laid two clutches sired from Mike so far. 

Bertha suffered a prolapse about a month ago.   She was taken to the animal ER to have ovaduct pushed back in.  We took her to a specialist the next day, and it was recommended to let the tissue heal back.  3 weeks later, she prolapsed again, this time it was bad.  The area that had prolapsed previously, had become infected.  Our choice was to put her to sleep, or that she undergo some major (and expensive) surgery.  We decided that since she was so health prior to the prolapse, that we would save her.  Even if she could not breed again, we could'nt see putting her down.

Now Bertha is recovering, and she is doing great.  Still mean and hungry.  At the moment we have no pics of her.
