Mike is considered a Red-Bodied Blue Barred Ambilobe. Where most Ambilobes will display a lime-green background, this particular group will show red. Today, these are harder to come by.
The Ambilobe is one of the most colorful chameleons we offer. They have almost all the colors in the rainbow in one chameleon. Almost all Ambilobes have a lime-green background that turns yellow when fired-up. Their bar coloration can range from electric-blue to red. Many times, the bar coloration will display both blue and red! In some cases, an Ambilobe can switch their bars from blue to red and vice-versa.
